Late night confession: at freeway speeds, my S2000 feels like the suspension is made of melted cheese. I’m trying to find time to get it checked out and probably get new shocks and bushings. Hopefully that does it ...

Based on the limited description, I think shocks are probably the answer. You should head over to S2ki.com for for more informed opinions.

Sounds like shocks, but double check your tire pressures. My shocks are still not great (have replacements, have not installed), but I found that I’d set my pressures WAY too high for this winter. Basically last winter I set them to 42psi just before the cold, that cold dropped them to roughly the recommended pressure. This year I did the same but of course it didn’t get so cold...
I let some air out and WHAT A DIFFERENCE.

Yup, shocks. Good call on the Koni Yellows.
